As the material cools, it hardens back to its original state and can be peeled off of the skin and discarded.

The technician will use a tool to spread the warmed paraffin wax on your face after it has been warmed to a medium temperature that makes the material malleable but not so hot that it would cause any irritation. You will wait for the paraffin to cool and harden, then it will be peeled away. Once gone, the professional will probably do a follow-up treatment with a gentle exfoliator scrub and pat your face dry.
